Y.M.C.A. College journal is the ideal platform to showcase the many activities and events of the faculty and the student community. It is also a forum to demonstrate the skill and expertise gained at the portals of this premier pioneering Institution, through publication of articles on Sports and Physical Education. Over the years the institution has evolved to provide sound infrastructure and experienced faculty to meet the challenges of Sports and Physical Education in the modern era.
The journal can stake its claim to being the offshoot of a much treasured labour of love, commitment, dedication and passion of the highest order amongst the faculty and the students. In the age of IT and rampant consumerism of a materialistic society, there is a tendency to give physical fitness the ‘go by’ and prefer other disciplines of study. However the adage “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” holds good even in this age. Sports and Physical Education have reached such dizzy heights of prominence that a IPL debutant or a champion athlete now kickstart their career as a budding millionaire. If those pursuing Sports and Physical Education in the West happen to be a champion athlete or a Varsity soccer player, chances are that they get into Ivy League Colleges together with a handsome scholarship. In short for all sportsmen and professionals “Sky is indeed the limit”.
